PERSONAL OBJECTIVE:

James’s real passion is storytelling & visualization, and he is bringing his wealth of knowledge into the making of films that emotionally resonate with audiences worldwide. His vast experience in both the Film & TV industries, and the fact that he has directed two of the world’s greatest actors & superstars; Geoffrey Rush (Best Actor, Academy Awards 2007) and Jackie Chan, amongst others, enables James to engage with the best people in the industry and to initiate, develop and produce high quality, successful films. Recently he was awarded the title of Best Director at West End Film Festival in Brisbane, along with numerous wins for his short proof of concept film, The Wrong Man.

James operates two companies to produce his creative projects:

Great Southern Ark Productions was founded in 2010 by business partners and long-time friends James Lingwood and Shekar Mani. Based in Australia and Mumbai, the company is run by a unique conglomerate of media professionals with a diverse range of industry experience. The company actively seeks out and develops a cross-section of films and television programming, for use on multi-media platforms such as cinema, television, streaming platforms and other social media outlets, to distribute their product throughout the world.

With a firm understanding of business and cultural relations in India, Australia and the UK, Great Southern Ark Productions is an innovative and resourceful company which analyses market trends, thereby exploiting the viability of projects and thus maximising a project’s ability to make profitable returns.
